D-I-L & M-I-L

Times are changing, world is changing and this is happening at such a fast pace. But this is such a sad scenario for any given society where court and law has to intervene so that a member of the family is considered so and not as an outsider. This itself shows where our society is standing.  We all may pretend to be modern in our attires but our mental map dates back to 18th century. The biggest  contradiction being women is against women. D-i-l faces the struggles because of M-i-l.  This is the common scenario. Of course, fortunately winds of change are blowing with a terrific speed and no of examples that exclude themselves from this scenario are increasing with every passing day. The other side of coin however is that there are incidents where d-i-l is showing utter inhumane treatment towards the elders in family, specifically M-i-l. But again the roots of these are to be found in the bitterness that has gathered itself over the years in young lady's mind. So, all the young mothers let's pledge to give our best and be an understanding m-i-l when it's our turn to be so. Gone are the times when bahu with a smiling face and a sobbing heart will keep upto your expectations. As they say "Be Good or Be Gone"
